Welcome to Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration (SOAR)—your first step toward a successful start as a Cardinal! 

During SOAR, you’ll:

• Connect with other new students
• Meet faculty and staff
• Engage with campus resources
• Get professional Advising help and Register for your first semester of classes*

*You will not have to pay for classes when you register for them. You have until the day before classes begin to pay your tuition. 

We’re excited to help you get started and make NIC your new home! Please sign up for a session from the dates listed below. 

Due to advising capacity, you may be placed in a small group for advising and registration. We recognize that some students have compelling personal circumstances better suited for 1:1 advising. Your advisor will give you instructions for how to schedule a 1:1 advising appointment after your initial Orientation advising session.
