During SOAR, you’ll connect with other new students, meet faculty and staff, engage with campus resources, and get help registering for your first semester of classes. - What if I cannot attend an in-person orientation?
Please complete the Waiver of In-Person Orientation Request Form to explain why you cannot attend the in‑person session and to request an alternative Orientation program.
- How long is the event? Can I just drop-in for advising?
This event lasts the entire 4 hours. You will be scheduled with a specific advisor for your degree path and will meet with them at a specific time during the event which is why you will need to ensure you can attend the entire event so that you do not miss out on your advising and registration appointment.
