Welcome to Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration (SOAR)—your first step toward a successful start as a Cardinal! During SOAR, you’ll connect with other new students, meet faculty and staff, engage with campus resources, and get help registering for your first semester of classes. We’re excited to help you get started and make NIC your new home.

Due to advising capacity, you may be placed in a small group for advising and registration. We recognize that some students have compelling personal circumstances better suited for 1:1 advising. Your advisor will give you instructions for how to schedule a 1:1 advising appointment after your initial Orientation advising session.

North Idaho College is committed to providing accessible and inclusive Orientation experiences. If you need disability-related accommodations (including temporary injuries or pregnancy-related conditions) to fully participate, please contact Disability Support Services as early as possible so we can coordinate appropriate support.

Examples of accommodations may include ASL interpreting, live captioning, alternative formats of materials (such as large print), wheelchair accessibility, or other access needs. Please note that some accommodations, including ASL interpreting and captioning, typically require at least five (5) business days’ advance notice to arrange.

NOTE: The August 31st SOAR Session is for NIC Coach-Approved Athletes Only. If you are not on an NIC Athletic team, please sign up for a different session.
